Bottleneck Analysis for Maritime and Air Transportation in Large-Scale Disasters

Last Updated on March 11th, 2020

The purpose of this study is development a simulator for transportation of rescue and relief activities in a large-scale disaster. Specifically, the simulator will be developed capable of verifying the occurrence of bottleneck at air and seaports that serve as joints between land, air, and sea. By using the developed simulator, transport issues during rescue and relief activities will be sorted out in advance and measures will be reflected in the formulation of appropriate disaster prevention plans.
In this study, we will benchmark the effectiveness of disaster prevention plans, and construct a simulation environment that will enable comprehensive evaluation across organizations.
