The research on the technology development related to disaster prevention and mitigation that each research institute has been working on has been compiled in a booklet. In addition, three institutes collaborated to formulate a study on "bottleneck analysis related to marine and air transportation under the large-scale disaster," and was adopted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism as a system for promoting transport technology development in FY2019.
Applying these researches, we will promote research not only for disaster prevention and mitigation at ports and harbors, but also for disaster response and recovery using marine and air transport, which will be widely used for disaster response.
